Earth Hour will be celebrated at the historic property through a variety of activities including: Candlelight dinners in The Regency Room and Pine Room Pub featuring acoustic music; Intimate candle lighting in the lobby and Palm Court; Switching off all non-essential lights and equipment throughout the Hotel, and encouraging guests to participate by shutting off lights and any electrical equipment possible.
The historic proprety is taking action locally to conserve energy and raise awareness of climate change, joining a global initiative that is open to Hilton’s more than 4,900 properties across 104 countries and territories.

2017 TEA DANCES
Shine up those dancing shoes and grab your friends as The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center is proud to announce the 2017 Tea Dance Series.
Foxtrotters, sultans of swing, whiz waltzers and fans of ballroom dancing are invited to join the historic property to celebrate the coming of the seasons in 2017. Occurring seasonaly throughout the year, the Tea Dances offer the public a day of entertainment, dancing, dining and camaraderie, as well as an opportunity to learn various types of dance steps in ballroom dancing.
“With foot tapping tunes from the show band and modern eras everyone will be on their feet for a great afternoon,” said Brian Wells, general manager of The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center. “It’s a great way to learn about ballroom dancing if you’re new or it’s just an excuse to have a good time and come dance!”
The dances occur on selected dates from 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. with a dinner buffet break from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. in The Regency Room. Ticket prices are $32 per person and include dinner, tax and gratuity.
