EMPLOYEES RECOGNIZED FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE
Hotel wins Hilton award for second straight year;
each eligible employee to receive $1,000 bonus

ROANOKE, Va. - (March 8, 2006) - For the second straight year, the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center has won a "Go for the Green" Award from parent Hilton Hotels Corp., one of only 32 properties to earn this distinction for outstanding performance.
Every year, all owned and managed hotels within the Hilton family of brands set their annual goals based on their prior year's actual results and projected growth targets. If, at the end of a calendar year, a hotel is successful in achieving its goals in each of the key performance indicators within their Balanced Scorecard - Hilton's performance measurement system - each eligible team member shares in a multi-million dollar reward from Hilton.
In 2004, Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center teammates received a $500 reward and were challenged to repeat as "Go for the Green" winners in 2005. In doing so, the company doubled the reward - a $1,000 bonus to all eligible employees.
The "Go for the Green" award judges each hotel on revenue and profit objectives, customer loyalty, team member loyalty, diversity goals and compliance with brand standards.
In addition to the cash bonus, the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center will receive a custom-designed plaque to display as a visible reminder of its outstanding achievement. Employees will celebrate their accomplishment at a luncheon on Friday, March 10.
