HOTEL ROANOKE & CONFERENCE CENTER TO OFFER
NEW SERIES OF COOKING CLASSES

Grilling Tips, Mother-Daughter Class and Bistro Food among Choices

ROANOKE, Va. - (March 19, 2007) - The Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center, a Doubletree hotel, offers a new selection of monthly cooking classes again this spring, including a session just for Mom.
Award-winning chef Billie Raper will instruct budding culinary experts on the secrets of preparing delicious food - from summer grilling to bistro food. Here's the spring lineup:

April 29 - The Thrill of the Grill. This annual class teaches participants how to master the grill. Learn how to prep and cook summer favorites, along with seafood and wild game. At the end, participants will enjoy their efforts with a grand summer buffet.

May 27- Mother and Daughter Cooking Class. Take an afternoon to cook with Mom. We provide the food and equipment, so all you'll have to do is add love. This class will focus on some comfort foods that will bring the whole family to the table. Participants will learn some tricks of the trade that can be incorporated in home cooking to provide families with healthy and nutritious meals. Cooking together has never been this much fun or stress free. A great Mother's Day gift idea!

June 24 - Rustic Bistro. Spend an afternoon working with Regency Room's Sous Chef, Richard Arbaugh. This class will introduce participants to lighter fare known as bistro food. Prepare wonderful dishes with a healthy flair that are great for entertaining larger groups or just a few friends. Learn how to prepare great meals ahead of time, with eye-popping presentations that will keep you out of the kitchen during the meal and your friends wondering how you made it happen.

Classes meet on these dates from 1-5 p.m. at the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center. Cost is $75 person and must be secured with a credit card. A $30 cancellation fee will apply to reservations cancelled within three days before the class.
A minimum of eight people will be required to hold each class.
