EXCESS FURNITURE, ACCESSORIES FROM GUEST ROOMS
Furniture sale on May 19 to feature bargains for homes and offices
ROANOKE, Va. (May 7, 2007) - Many guests who stay at The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, a Doubletree hotel, like the rooms so much they order alarm clocks, bedding and other accessories for their own home.
Now Roanoke area residents have an opportunity to furnish their homes or offices with high-quality furniture from Hotel Roanoke guest rooms - at bargain prices.
With the Hotel about to complete a dramatic renovation that has transformed 150 guest rooms with all-new furnishings, the landmark property is hosting a sale of used excess furniture from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, May 19 at Furniture Central, 3348 Salem Turnpike in Roanoke.
Among the deals: armoires for $100, desks for $80, chairs with ottomans for $60, night stands for $40, beverage stations for $30, pedestal tables for $20, curtain sets for $20, lamps and sinks for $10, and pictures for $10.
Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted. Furniture will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Buyers must make their own arrangements to move and transport furniture.
The Hotel's ownership is investing about $3 million in renovations during 2007. The Hotel will complete the remaining 181 guest rooms and corridors beginning this December, with completion of this second phase expected March 31, 2008.
