THE HOTEL ROANOKE BEGINS QUEST FOR THE PERFECT TREE
Search for Tree Open to the Public; Winner Receives a Hotel Roanoke Vacation
ROANOKE, Va. (Oct 3, 2007) - Search your yard. Check the neighbor's. Call someone you know. Help the Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center find the perfect Christmas tree to celebrate its 125th anniversary.
Be a part of the Hotel's unique history during this special year by helping to locate the ideal 35- to 40-foot Christmas tree. The tree will be prominently featured on the property throughout the holiday season and will feature a plaque with the donator's name. The winner will also receive a weekend stay at the Hotel, including dinner and grand buffet brunch in The Regency Room.
"We want Christmas to be absolutely wonderful this year as we celebrate our 125th anniversary and it starts with the tree," said Gary Walton, General Manager of The Hotel Roanoke. "We are searching for the perfect 125th anniversary tree to grace the front entrance of our Hotel and we believe there is someone in the Valley who may have it or knows of one."
The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center is celebrating its 125th anniversary this year with 125 days of celebration that includes special events and exhibits open to the public in recognition of the hotel's historical, social and economic significance to southwest Virginia.
"Once the tree is located and able to be cut down legally, the Hotel will be responsible for cutting, removing and transporting the tree," said Walton. "We appreciate the community's help in this endeavor and offer our thanks and appreciation to anyone who can help us find a tree fit for our anniversary celebration."
