Holiday Portraits in front of the Tree!
The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center is partnering with award-winning photographer Patrick Perkins on November 30 and December 1 to capture professional holiday portraits in front of the lobby tree! Families, couples, friends, individuals, etc., are all welcome!
Portraits will be taken on a first come, first serve basis for $15. When you arrive, check in at the designated lobby area to have your portraits taken. You will receive a private link where the images can be purchased and downloaded.
Proceeds from the photography session will be donated to the United Way of Roanoke Valley. Celebrating the 140th anniversary of the Hotel Roanoke’s opening on Christmas Day in 1882, the 2022 Lobby Tree and hotel decorations have been elegantly designed and created by White House designer Mark Frye of Creative Occasions Florals & Fine Gifts! Cash accepted on-site.
Elf on a Shelf

The Elf on the Shelf® is a Christmas tradition beloved by many. These magical Scout Elves help Santa manage his nice list by taking note of a family’s Christmas adventures and reporting back to Santa at the North Pole each night. By morning, the Scout Elf returns to its family and perches in a new spot, waiting for someone to find them.
For the third time, Santa’s Scout Elves will be landing in Downtown Roanoke! Come on a fun scavenger hunt and find the 18 Scout Elves hiding in downtown stores. Find them all and be entered for a chance to win $1,000!
Pick up a Passport at any of the participating Scout Elf locations. Get a stamp from the business when you find a Scout Elf. Once your passport has all of its stamps (meaning you’ve found all the Scout Elves), return it in the drop box located in the official elf adoption center - Mast General Store (401 S Jefferson Street) and you’ll be entered to win $1,000.
