College Gameday in Virginia

Beat the crowds, don’t miss the action, and experience all that football season in Virginia has to offer.

When the fall semester begins, the rows of tents have been erected, and the flames of the grill are lit, that can mean only one thing - college football has returned to Virginia! Fans of the many great commonwealth collegiate teams flock to the Blue Mountain region each fall dawning their school colors and head out to partake in long-treasured college football traditions.

Ideally situated just 5 miles from Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport, roughly halfway between Lane Stadium at Virginia Tech and Williams Stadium at Liberty University, Hotel Roanoke provides easy access to all the gameday action you’re looking to enjoy.

Virginia Tech Hokies

Recognized for being the stadium with the best home-field advantage in college football (thanks to the seas of roaring fans decked out in crimson and orange), Lane Stadium in Blacksburg, just a 40-minute drive away, is the current home to the ACC’s Virginia Tech Hokies. Here, fans can immerse themselves in all the beloved Hokies traditions. From the first rocking note of Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” and dining on turkey legs, to the last step of the Hokey-Pokey before the 4th quarter begins, you won't want to miss each firing of Skipper, -- especially when the Hokies crush the UVA Cavaliers during the Commonwealth Clash.
