FITNESS CENTER RENOVATIONS
As part of our ongoing enhancements to The Hotel Roanoke’s historic property, our fitness center is currently undergoing renovation. We apologize for the inconvenience and invite guests to visit the front desk for alternative fitness options during their stay. We look forward to unveiling an improved experience and anticipate reopening by early November.

A beloved Virginia’s Blue Ridge tradition returns! Fashions for Evergreens is free and open to the public from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day, benefiting United Way of Roanoke Valley.

Experience the magic of the season as local businesses and organizations showcase their creativity in a festive tree-decorating competition. Stroll through the display, snap photos with family and friends, and vote for your favorite tree — each dollar donated supports a meaningful cause.

Returning this year: The $10 Sweepstakes Donation!
With a $10 contribution, you’ll be entered to win an overnight stay with breakfast for two at The Hotel Roanoke. All donations go directly to United Way, and your information remains secure. The winner will be announced on January 10, 2026.

FASHIONS FOR EVERGREENS 2025

Twinkling lights and boughs of holly have kept the elves extra busy this season, as they've decorated over a two dozen trees to compete in the coveted annual People's Choice Award.

Vote with your dollar to submit your pick for your favorite tree and you'll help choose the fan favorite!

This year, one lucky voter will win an overnight stay for 2 including breakfast at The Hotel Roanoke!
To be eligible to enter you must vote with a minimum $10 donation.

The tree that brings in the most money gets the title.

Proceeds benefit United Way of Roanoke Valley, and the families and non-profit partners served by the organization.

Fashions For Evergreens is free and open to the public. The event runs from Thanksgiving morning to New Year's Day! While the hotel is a 24 hour facility and trees may be visited at any time, the hotel suggests the best hours to view the display is 8 a.m. - 9 p.m.

"We are excited to welcome back generations of Roanoke Valley residents and visitors throughout the state, country and world to visit the hotel and experience the holiday season,” said Brian Wells, general manager for The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center. “Not only is it an opportunity to show off the hotel and spread holiday cheer, this important fundraiser is a huge benefit to our community of non-profit organizations.”

“Visitors to the trees, either in-person or online, may only be donating a few dollars, but this event truly helps individuals and families in the Roanoke Valley. Donations support programs that assist people right here in our own communities, with resources that meet their needs, including access to affordable low, or even no-cost childcare solutions. Ultimately, getting folks back to work will ensure our economy is strong,” said Alisha Childress, Vice President of Resource Development at United Way of Roanoke Valley.
