As part of our ongoing enhancements to The Hotel Roanoke’s historic property, our fitness center is currently undergoing renovation. We apologize for the inconvenience and invite guests to visit the front desk for alternative fitness options during their stay. We look forward to unveiling an improved experience and anticipate reopening by early November.

UNVEILING A NEW ERA

INTRODUCING THE SPA AT HOTEL ROANOKE

The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, is excited to announce the completion of its highly anticipated $14 million guestroom renovation, bringing a new level of luxury and modernity to this historic property.

This transformation has reimagined all 327 guest rooms, including the newly upgraded Health & Wellness Floor, elevating the guest experience with cutting-edge technology, stylish design, custom furnishings, and the expanded and revitalized the Spa at Hotel Roanoke.

"This investment highlights our dedication to preserving the hotel’s storied legacy while also reinforcing our position as the top choice for both hospitality and conferences in southwest Virginia."

The hotel’s redesigned guest rooms offer a harmonious balance of modern amenities and timeless elegance. Each room features updated furnishings, state-of-the-art technology, and a refreshed aesthetic that reflects the property’s rich history while ensuring ultimate comfort.

WELCOME TO THE NEW HEALTH & WELLNESS FLOOR

A standout feature of the renovation is the Health & Wellness Floor, a dedicated, private key access space designed with guest well-being in mind. This innovative floor combines wellness-focused amenities such as hypoallergenic bedding, purified air systems through the hotel’s partnership with Pure Wellness, and technology that allows guests to control room settings—like lighting, temperature, and entertainment—directly from their smartphones. Added comforts such as heated bathroom floors, white noise machines, and aromatherapy bath products enhance the restorative atmosphere.

"The Health & Wellness Floor is a sanctuary for guests to relax, recharge, and rejuvenate during their travels," said Wells. "Whether visiting for business or leisure, we’ve created an environment that encourages relaxation, fosters restful sleep, and supports overall well-being."

INVESTING IN THE FUTURE

The $14 million renovation was completed in stages, with the final batch of guest rooms completed in fall 2024. Alongside the room updates, the hotel’s infrastructure was also overhauled to ensure a seamless experience for guests attending events in the expansive 63,000-square-foot conference center. Other significant upgrades included the 2020 renovation of the Pine Room restaurant and the introduction of the 1882 Lobby Bar.

Designated as a National Historic Landmark, The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center features 327 elegantly appointed guest rooms and a high-tech 63,000-square-foot conference center. The hotel is a collaborative project of Hotel Roanoke LLC, the City of Roanoke, and Virginia Tech.
